SANN Umber is an original monochromatic oil painting on canvas, 100 x 100 cm, created in Singapore.Part of the SANN (Mountain) series, a body of work rooted in stillness and what the artist describes as « introverted resistance »: a quiet, sustained response to a world defined by speed and excess. Built through layers of oil on canvas, the surface holds time rather than displaying it.The work is unframed, signed on the verso, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. One-of-a-kind.

Hannami Kim

Hannami Kim is a Korean contemporary artist based in Singapore. Her practice is centred on SANN-HEUK (산흙), exploring the relationship between mountain and earth through two interconnected bodies of work: SANN, monochromatic oil paintings within the Dansaekhwa tradition, and HEUK, her Jangpanhwa practice, developed from traditional Korean hanji flooring paper. SANN reflects quiet endurance through restrained monochromatic painting. HEUK transforms a material once used as domestic flooring through folding, scorching, and repeated traces of heat, creating surfaces that record time and irreversible transformation. Rather than pursuing spectacle, Kim’s practice is grounded in Introverted Resistance—a quiet response to speed, noise, and excess.
