The Agathis Australis—Kauri Tree towers above the forest canopy with grandeur and grace. Thus the floor lamp’s silhouette reflects the tree’s refined qualities with its paired back form and classic femininity. Understated, handcrafted and with fine attention to materiality, the lamp exudes a lightness in the Ash finish and a solidity in the oiled Kauri alternative.

Snelling Studio

Born from collaboration between father and daughter Douglas and Bec Snelling in 2007, Snelling is an Aotearoa New Zealand studio working across lighting, furniture, sculpture and object collections. Today led by Rebecca Snelling the practice carries forward a deep commitment to honest making and material integrity. Every piece is handcrafted and made to order within the studio, produced alongside a specialised team of makers and fabricators in New Zealand. Rooted in fine aft training and over two decades of practice, the work sits between sculptural form and functional object shaped by sustained material research, traditional craft methodologies, and refined execution. Snelling values longevity over trend, permanence over production.
